Striker Lehlohonolo ‘Wagga-Wagga’ Majoro was rewarded for his fine performances when he was announced as the winner of the ‘Player of the Quarter’, walking away with the Nissan Juke.

Majoro, who scored a historic hat-trick against Black Leopards in the Nedbank Cup, grabbing four goals, has been in superb form for the Club and became the second winner of the car after Siphiwe Tshabalala.

“I am honoured to have been voted by the fans as the winner of the Player of the Quarter competition. It feels good to be recognised by the Amakhosi faithful,” said the delighted striker as he accepted the car keys from Tshililo Ndadza (37), who had won the competition to present the car at the Village today on Monday, 07 May 2012.

The Free State-born striker paid tribute to the fans for encouraging him; “The fans have always been behind the Club through thick and thin and they were behind some of my best moments during the past few weeks. I also thank my teammates for their support. I will drive the car home to Free State when the season ends,” added Majoro.

Meanwhile, fan Tshililo Ndadza, who was accompanied by her son Samkelo (10), sent a word of gratitude to both Kaizer Chiefs and Nissan for such competition.

“First I am looking forward to winning the car in October,” she said confidently. “This is a very good competition for both fans and the players. I am sure the fans are motivated to participate and it should mean a lot to the players that they are being voted for by the fans. Kaizer Chiefs and Nissan need to be commended for such a unique idea.

“I decided to bring my son who is not feeling well today as he is crazy about the Club. It is easy to see looking at his face how much the Club means to the fans. He is so happy today to be here. I would like to wish the Club all the best in their last two games against Free State Stars and AmaZulu. It has been a tough season but the players need to know that we are behind them all the way,” she added.

Samkelo is a student at Freeway Park Primary School. Despite not feeling well, he was delighted to meet his hero Siphiwe Tshabalala; “The first thing he asked me was why I was not at school. I have not been feeling well for the past couple of days.

I am happy to be here and to meet Siphiwe and all the players. Everyone was nice to us. I have been following Chiefs since I was seven and they are my team for life,” said the visible delighted young star.
