Zdravo!
Kaizer Chiefs victory against Maritzburg United<
We did not play at our usual level against Maritzburg United still I was satisfied with maximum points we got out of the game. At this stage of the season at times it does not matter how you play but the points. I have always said that the most important thing for us is to stay in touch with Absa Premiership League leaders. If we continue winning then we will put them under pressure.
The only concern in the game was the injury on our striker, Knowledge Musona. It was also interesting that the tackle went unpunished. I am not the one to blame referees but players like Musona need more protection from referees. We keep our fingers crossed that the player will be available for our fixture against Golden Arrows on Wednesday night.
I would like to take this opportunity and congratulate my players for the job well done. The players knew how important it was for us to return to our winning ways after dropping two points in Bloemfontein midweek. I also think Maritzburg United played well on the night and they deserve to be up on the log. I wish them all the best during the season.
Preview: Golden Arrows vs. Kaizer Chiefs
Preparations for our game against Golden Arrows have been going well since Sunday. We know that Arrows are a quality side despite having mixture of results in their past couple of days. People have said the game gives me an opportunity to renew my friendship with my compatriot, Filipovic who has done a commendable job at Arrows.
For us the game against Golden Arrows is more than that! It is an opportunity for us to keep the momentum following a win against Maritzburg United. Golden Arrows have quality players like Siyabonga Nkosi and Siyabonga Sangweni but we can’t focus on only the two of them as everyone there have proved to be dangerous including Collins Mbesuma.
I look forward seeing you all at Chatsworth Stadium. Kick off for the game is at 19:30
Congratulations to Novak Djovic
I would like to take this opportunity and join millions of people back home in congratulating, Novak Djovic on winning an Australian Open on Sunday, 30 January 2011.
Soweto Derby
I know for most people are looking forward to the upcoming Soweto derby against Moroka Swallows on Saturday. I prefer to talk about Swallows on Thursday. Our 100% focus is on Golden Arrows.
Dovidenja!
