Charity Cup our next step - Ertugral

We have successfully defended the Vodacom Challenge and our next mission is to win the Telkom Charity Cup. First I must thank you our supporters for making it possible for us to play in this charity event.

We will definitely need your support on Saturday when we play against Pirates in the first semifinal. I believe this is a good draw for us and we owe it to our supporters to make it to the final.

I plan to use two squads on Saturday, one for the semifinal against Pirates then the second one for the final. We have great depth in our squad and it will be easy for us to come up with two teams on the day.

I cannot discuss game tactics here as I have realised that it’s not only the Amakhosi supporters who visit this side. But come Saturday, we won’t let you down.

Congratulations to Ria Stars for qualifying for the Charity Cup. I have been to some of their home games and from what I have seen; their supporters are as passionate about football as the Amakhosi supporters.

The criticism leveled at Ria Stars is a bit unfair as the team did their homework and was rewarded for that.

A number of you have suggested that we should get one or two good strikers. Good news is that we are in the process of negotiations for two quality strikers who will definitely rock the local league. For obvious reasons I will not disclose their names or where they come from as this might jeopardise our chances of signing them.

I am also happy to inform you that Arthur Zwane has recovered well from his injury and is looking good. He might get a run on Saturday.

There other thing as you know we had a friendly match against a side in Alexandra township over the weekend and our boys did very well. Luke Petros scored twice and new striker Richard Lishivha also scored in that game.

The momentum is great and the attitude of the players also very positive. The boys are hungry for success and to win trophies for you and I think we are in a better position this season.

I am aware that some of our players might be called up for national duty in the coming African Nations Cup. My only wish is that they do not call eight players as that might have an effect on the team. If three players are called up, we should be able to carry on with a programme.

See you on Saturday and please let’s be patient with the youngsters.

Love and Peace!
