Chiefs geared for Celtic

Kaizer Chiefs will look at a continuation of the good run of form when they host Bloemfontein Celtic on Saturday, 24 February.

This much anticipated Absa Premiership match is scheduled to take place at FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 20:15.

In the first round of this ever fierce and entertaining encounter, Chiefs got 1-0 up thanks to Erick Mathoho’s headed goal in the first half, before Siwelele fought back to equalise. Atusaye Nyondo scored from the penalty spot to make it 1-1, which was also the final score of the match that was played at the Free State Stadium.

The Glamour Boys are on a nine-game unbeaten streak. Amakhosi are solid and have at present a huge plus with the in-form Ryan Moon scoring crucial goals, while Itumeleng Khune and his defence are keeping it tight at the back.

Chiefs are second on the log table, while Siwelele are in eleventh sport, having collected respectively 34 and 25 points, although Celtic have played one game less (21 versus 20 matches).
