Kaizer Chiefs honoured an invitation to be part of the Ithembelihle LSEN School’s annual sports day. Ithembelihle School caters for children having a disability. The school is based in Primrose, Germiston, and has 305 learners.

Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Lorenzo Gordinho attended the event on Friday, representing Kaizer Chiefs.

“This is a humbling experience and an inspiration for us,” Mphahlele reflected, “to watch these kids perform, despite their conditions, in an athletic competition in high spirit. That’s inspiring to see.”

“It is important for us to share Love & Peace with these wonderful children,” echoed Gordinho, while referring to Amakhosi's slogan. “Children are the future. It is gratifying to see a smile on their faces. We are happy to be here.”

Community Social Engagements are part of the mission and values of Amakhosi. Doing good is engraved in the club’s spirit.

“We are over the moon,” school principal Mrs Ngosi reflected on the presence of two Chiefs players at their annual sports day. “We will not forget this gesture and the children enjoyed their time with the players. We would like to thank Kaizer Chiefs for this and wish the club all the best in the future.”
