Kaizer Chiefs’ Under-19s side continues with their impressive run and are still on top of the SAB League standings, Johannesburg Region. The young Glamour Boys will face second-placed Orlando Pirates at Randburg Stadium on Sunday afternoon (kick-off is at 15:00).

Chiefs played to a one-all draw against third positioned Senaoane Gunners on Human Rights Day. The Under-19s went 1-0 ahead thanks to a goal from Lebogang Lesako after which the Gunners equalised.

“We were superior,” Under-19s coach Arthur Zwane reflects. “We created enough chances to kill off the game, but we failed to finish.”

Amakhosi have booked 63 points from 25 matches, while Pirates are on 61 points (from the same number of games). There are still five fixtures to go in this season’s SAB League.

About Sunday’s match against the Buccaneers, Zwane says, “It will be a tight game, considering that they are also challenging for the league title. They will want a win at all costs, so they will come all out to attack us. It means that we will have a real game, as our opponents normally sit back against us to defend.”
