National Under-23 coach David Notoane has called up Kaizer Chiefs defenders Happy Mashiane and Siyabonga Ngezana to his Men’s SA U-23 squad.  For video analyses, Notoane called up from the Chiefs Academy, Sinesipho Mali.

The U-23 team is participating in the Total Afcon Under-23 tournament taking place on 3rd to 20th November in Egypt.

Included in the SA U-23 programme is Group B match against Ivory Coast taking place on Tuesday 12th November at Al Salam Stadium. Kick-off is 17h00.

The SA U-23s have already collected a point in Group B. Their opening match was against Zambia and it ended scoreless on Saturday 9th November.

Nigeria is waiting on Friday 15th November for 20:00 kick-off to complete the group stages.

The Total Africa U-23 Cup of Nations is held every four years with the top three teams qualifying automatically to the Olympic Games and the fourth-place finisher playing in a play-off against a team from the Asian Football Confederation.
