After three weeks without competitive action, the wait is almost over for supporters as Kaizer Chiefs get ready to light up the FNB Stadium next Tuesday evening when they take on Stellenbosch FC in their eighth Betway Premiership encounter of the season.
Amakhosi return to the pitch after the FIFA international break sitting fourth on the log with 13 points from seven matches, eager to continue their strong start. Stellenbosch, coached by Gavin Hunt and featuring a few familiar former Chiefs players, will arrive determined to climb from their current seventh position, where they hold nine points.
Chiefs have welcomed back three players who were away on duty with the South African U23 national team, adding depth and energy to the squad. The medical team is closely monitoring Luke Baartman after he picked up an injury, and updates on his progress, along with other sidelined players, will be shared ahead of the clash.
Supporters can expect a great evening of football with Amakhosi looking to produce a memorable performance for a home crowd they have not played in front of for a while. The atmosphere at FNB Stadium promises to be electric and the team is calling on the Gold & Black army of fans to come out in numbers to show their passion and pride.
Tickets are available now for just R80 through the MyTicket app, as well as at Shoprite and Checkers outlets nationwide.
Kick-off for action between the Glamour Boys and the Winelands team is set for 19:30 at FNB Stadium.
