The Kaizer Chiefs U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 teams will face their counterparts from Highlands Park this coming Saturday at Balfour Park, north-east of Johannesburg, in matches which are crucial to their title aspirations.

Kaizer Chiefs U-13

Defeated at the weekend 2-1 by the University of Pretoria in their last game, the Kaizer Chiefs U-13 team will be looking to bounce back when they face log leaders Highlands Park this Saturday away from home. Victory for the young Amakhosi coached by former Chiefs defender Jimmy Jambo will see them close the gap to seven points on Highlands Park and they will have played a game less than Highlands.

Kaizer Chiefs U-15

Victors in their last three league games and unbeaten in their last five, the Chiefs U-15 team will be looking to keep up their recent run of form, which has seen them record successive wins against School of Excellence (2-0), Alexandra Black Aces (2-1) and this past weekend against University of Pretoria (1-0).

Victory for the Chiefs U-15 team coached by Tshidiso Letsholonyane will see the Amakhosi currently in second place five points behind log leaders Orlando Pirates keep pace with their rivals. Should Pirates drop points in their game against Shumba Football Development, Chiefs can cut their lead. With the teams still to meet, a win over the weekend could see Chiefs U-15’s breathing down the neck of Pirates when they do face each other.

Kaizer Chiefs U-17

The Chiefs U-17 team emerged winners from a thrilling nine goal game against University of Pretoria last weekend which saw them walk away as 5-4 winners in their last encounter.  They will be looking for a similar determined performance when they face Highlands Park.  They are currently in second place and are nine points behind current league leaders Jomo Cosmos but have played three games less. Victory over Highlands, currently just behind them on the log will keep them in the title race as they continue their process of development which is vital for the overall success of the team.

Kaizer Chiefs U-19

Both the Chiefs U-17 team and U-19 teams have had major shuffles in personnel as the Chiefs U-17 team has seen a number of their players promoted up a division to the U-19’s as a host of the U-19 players have moved on to the Chiefs Reserve Team, playing in the Multichoice Diski Challenge. With the MDC becoming a competition catering for younger players, U-19s have been promoted ahead to the MDC team. Despite all the changes the Chiefs U-19 team remains second in their division behind BIDVest Wits. They are ahead of third placed Highlands Park.
