Brazilians rave about Chiefs

Two Amakhosi-loving Brazilians, Renata and Bruno Silva, came to FNB Stadium to watch the game against Golden Arrows on Saturday night. They are presently enjoying a holiday in South Africa.

“It’s really a beautiful stadium,” Renata enthuses, “and we vividly remember our favourite Kaizer Chiefs players from the 2010 World Cup, including Siphiwe Tshabalala, Bernard Parker and Itumeleng Khune.”

A day earlier the couple visited the Chiefs Village. Renata’s brother is a die-hard Amakhosi supporter and he asked them to buy this season’s jersey for him, which they did – the preferred the away jersey.

“The Village is truly magnificent,” rave the two, who come from Brazil’s city of São Paulo, “and the people working here are all so kind. It looks as if you are one big Family.”

Of course, Renate and Bruno were a bit disappointed about the goalless draw on Saturday, but they also stressed: “We will from now on follow all the games of Kaizer Chiefs from Brazil and we are sure that you will win the league this season.”
