Chiefs and City reserves share the spoils

The Kaizer Chiefs reserve team bounced back from the previous weekend’s loss against Stellenbosch to draw against Cape Town City reserves on Sunday. The teams played to a 2-2 draw at Malta Park Sports Ground in the Mother City.

The home team drew first blood in the 19th minute through Ashley Nel’s goal but Amakhosi responded with a splendid goal in the 42nd minute courtesy of Mduduzi Shabalala. The young Shabalala got another goal two minutes later on the stroke of half-time to put the Glamour Boys in the lead.

The citizens were lucky to grab the equaliser in stoppage time through Jarred Hendricks with his goal coming in the 92nd minute.

The Amakhosi reserve team will now face TS Galaxy on Saturday at FNB Stadium.
