The Kaizer Chiefs youth teams will be making their way up the N1 North highway heading to the Nation’s capital city, Pretoria (Tshwane) for a crucial round of fixtures in the Gauteng Development Leagues. The club’s U-13, U-15, U-17 and U-19 teams will be facing their counterparts from the University of Pretoria on Saturday.

Kaizer Chiefs U-13

The Chiefs U-13 team have a crucial game in the Gauteng Development League this weekend. First up they will take on the University of Pretoria who are currently in 16th place on the table. Victory for Chiefs U-13’s who are currently third on the log could see them close the gap on league leaders Highlands Park. The U-13’s drew their last league encounter 1-1 against Alexandra Black Aces and are unbeaten in their last three league games (W2 D1).

Kaizer Chiefs U-15

Chiefs’ U-15 team were winners in their last league game against Alexandra Black Aces. They are now undefeated in their past four league encounters having won the last two (W2 D2). They will be facing a University of Pretoria team who are in 13th place on the log standings and who have lost their last two games.

Kaizer Chiefs U-17

The Amakhosi U-17 team will be in action again this weekend after their game last weekend against Alexandra Black Aces was called off midway through the game with the young Amakhosi leading 1-0 at the time. The Chiefs U-17’s are undefeated in their last three league games and will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run and move up the table. Victory could see them move up-to second place and with games in hand over log leaders Highlands Park, the title is still very much in their grasp.

Kaizer Chiefs U-19

The Chiefs U-19’s are entering a crucial part of the season - they currently are seven points behind log leaders BIDVest Wits having played two games less. Victory for them could see them cut the Students lead and help them in their quest for the title. Although they have lost their last two league games the Chiefs U-19’s will be looking to rediscover the form which saw them go unbeaten in their five games prior to the current which saw them win five games and draw one. The University of Pretoria U-19’s are seventh on the league standings and trail the Chiefs U-19 team by nine points.
