Kaizer Chiefs will host Golden Arrows on Tuesday, 23 April, in a much-anticipated Absa Premiership encounter.

The game will take place at the iconic FNB Stadium. Amakhosi supporters are expected to come in numbers as this match follows Chiefs’ emphatic 4-2 win over Chippa United on Saturday, reaching the Nedbank Cup final.

It is the final match of the 2018/19 season to be held at the FNB Stadium, so there are lots of reasons for our supporters to be at the stadium on Tuesday night.

When the two teams met in the corresponding fixture in December 2018 at Princess Magogo Stadium, Leonardo Castro’s 60th minute goal was not enough to rescue Chiefs from a 2-1 defeat.

Coach Ernst Middendorp will look to this game as an opportunity to climb the ladder. Presently seventh on the log and with the Nedbank Cup final looming large for Amakhosi, the coach always emphasises taking it game by game.

Arrows occupy ninth spot and both teams are left with four matches to go this season.

Sitting on either side of the benches will be coaches that have had previous stints at both clubs. Middendorp coached Arrows in 2011, while Abafana Bes’thende’s Steve Komphela was the Amakhosi coach between 2015 and 2018.

Tickets are on sale at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers outlets nationwide at R40 per person.

Kick-off is at 19:30
