Our league campaign might be far from getting started but the Glamour Boys have been busy off the field following the handing over of a R10 000 cheque to Takalani Home for the mentally disabled on Wednesday.

This handover ceremony was exclusive for the Takalani Home and their children.

Putco Mafani was the MC and striker Sydney Moshokaro spoke and attended on behalf of the players.

Stella Helwick from Acer and Maureen Mosekwa from Iwisa were invited and did the handover as they were the major sponsors of our KC 5-A-Side challenge held in april this year.

The official handover where the media and our supporters will be able to attend will be made at one of our games, possibily next week, details yet to be confirmed.

The money was part of the proceeds raised during the Kaizer Chiefs 5-A-Side Challenge held at Marks Park on April 28.

40 corporate teams participated in the challenge, which was based on a round robin format followed by knock out stages.

The eventual champions of the Tournament were the Wits under-18 team, who received R10 000 in prize money.

Y-FM provided live entertainment on the day.

The whole Kaizer Chiefs squad attended the event including the legendary Doc Khumalo who showed off some dazzling skills.

In excess of 3000 people attended the annual event and it was a most exciting and enjoyable day for all who attended.

As always Kaizer Chiefs along with the respective sponsors have not forgotten their responsibility to the community and therefore present a cheque of R10 000 to the Takalani Home.

We look forward to another successful challenge next year!
