Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter named three players of Kaizer Chiefs’ rearguard in the starting line-up for tonight’s crucial encounter against Nigeria.

The trio of goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune, defenders Ramahlwe Mphahlele and Erick Mathoho will start when South Africa face the Super Eagles in their first 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier tonight.

The match takes place at Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Nigeria.

Kick-off is at 17:00 local time (18:00 SA time).

Another Chiefs defender, Lorenzo Gordinho, might also play a part in the match, as he is a substitute, sitting on the bench for Saturday night’s game.
