“I’ll never forget this day” were the words Innocent Mzila said repeatedly. The young man could hardly believe his eyes when Kaizer Chiefs players Ryan Moon and Joseph Molangoane showed up at his work to deliver an order he had placed on the KC DigiStore in the early hours of the day.

Kaizer Chiefs players delivering online orders to supporters have been ongoing for the past three seasons and have led to many pleasant surprises.

This time around, the Glamour Boys were part of a contingent completed by Erick Mathoho and Hendrick Ekstein, who were in KwaZulu-Natal on the eve of the Telkom Knockout semi-final Soweto Derby.

Mzila was a randomly selected shopper from the numerous orders coming in every day on the KC DigiStore. He won a fast-tracked delivery straight to his doorstep.

“I’ll never forget this day, what’s the date today?” asked Mzila for purposes of diarising this event. “Black Friday,” he joked before anybody could answer him. “I made the order this morning, at 1 am. I didn’t expect all of this, I thought I would have to collect the order at the post office. I appreciate this Amakhosi, you came all the way from The Village to bring my T-shirt. I am also appreciative of the lady who helped me place the order.”

23 November 2018 will long be in the memory of the young Mzila, who hails from Pietermaritzburg, but finds himself in Mountain Ridge, New Germany for work purposes. That Ryan Moon is also a Pietermaritzburg native made the gesture that much sweeter.

If it was not enough having his favourite players deliver his order from the KC DigiStore, they also presented him with match tickets to the already sold out Telkom Knockout semi-final Soweto Derby at Moses Mabhida.

Mzila also took the opportunity to take photos with the players and he was so chuffed by all that happened that he completely forgot being still at work. Many of his colleagues and passers-by were also in disbelief seeing the players roaming the streets of Mountain Ridge. They also quickly used the opportunity to take photos and wish the players well ahead of the Derby.

Who knows? You may find your favourite Kaizer Chiefs players at your doorstep. Keep your eyes peeled to the KC DigiStore, www.kcdigistore.com, where supporters can shop authentic performance and lifestyle merchandise that caters for everyone.
