Kaizer Chiefs maestro Doctor Khumalo led the Glamour Boys to a 3-2 win against Basotho Tigers in Kimberly over the weekend.

Phumlani Mkhize had a superb game and crowned his performance with a goal. Rene Richards scored a stunning goal from 30 metres outside the box and Gerald Sibeko made it three from a Doctor Khumalo free-kick.

Khumalo, in charge of the team in the absence of coach Muhsin Ertugral, played the last 15 minutes of the game and dazzled supporters with his magic touches.

"It was a great weekend of football especially for the people of Kimberly. The game was well attended as we had well over 10 000 supporters,” said Chiefs PRO Putco Mafani.

"It was a wonderful way close the season,” Mafani said. “Three from the Development Academy accompanied us to Kimberly at the recommendation of Farouk and two of them lived up to expectations while the other one battled to find his footing.
