The Gauteng Development League is in full swing and Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development teams have been fully at it in the past three weeks. The Club’s U-13, U-16, U-18 and U-20 teams are represented in their respective 16 team leagues.

Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development teams will host the University of Pretoria at the Chiefs Village this weekend.

The U-13s will go into this weekend’s match placed 7th on the log having played three games, winning one and drawing two of their matches. The win came from a comfortable 4-2 away match against Kagiso Porto Academy. The drawn matches were recorded 1-1 against Jomo Cosmos and 2-2 away to Bidvest Wits.

The U-16s have recorded an indifferent start to their season. They are placed 12th on the log after recording a 2-0 win at home against Jomo Cosmos. On the road the Amakhosi Juniors have not been successful, losing 3-0 to Kagiso Porto Academy and 1-0 to Bidvest Wits.

Kick-off for the U-13 and U-16 matches is concurrently at 09:00.

Closer to senior levels, the U-18s are placed 3rd following two wins in their opening three matches. Emphatically they thrashed Kagiso Porto Academy 5-1 in the opening fixture, before conquering Jomo Cosmos at home. The Amakhosi Juniors narrowly lost 2-1 in their away trip to Bidvest Wits.

The U-20s have recorded a draw and two defeats to their name which has placed them in unfamiliar territory of 13th position on the log. The Amakhosi Juniors gained a point at home against Jomo Cosmos. The losses narrowly in a goal feast, 4-3 to Kagiso Porto Academy and 3-1 Bidvest Wits.

Kick-off for both U-18 and U-20 matches is at 12:00.
