Kaizer Chiefs defender Nhlanhla Kubeka is set to miss the Premier League clash against Bush Bucks on Saturday after sustaining a head injury in the match against Classic on Wednesday.

Kubeka, who was involved in a head collision with David Malatule of Classic, saw a doctor on Thursday and had eight stitches to his left eye.

The medical team believes that while Kubeka could certainly miss the Bucks game, he would be ready to make a comeback against Sundowns next week.

Stanton Fredericks, who has been out of action since the Pirates game, will start training on Friday but could still be out for a couple of weeks.

Justice Sithole got a knock against Classic and is doubtful for Bucks. Shaun Permall, out with an ankle injury, is also doubtful for the Saturday match.

Good news for Amakhosi is the possible return to action of midfield genius Jabu Pule, who has been out of action since the SuperSport United game. Pule was supposed to make a comeback against Classic but the doctors felt he was not yet fully recovered.
