Amakhosi’s young sensation Nkosingiphile ‘Mshini’ Ngcobo made a welcome return from a long-term injury when he played in the Kaizer Chiefs Reserves’ match against Stellenbosch FC Reserves on Saturday.

The Multichoice Diski Challenge festival match played at the Harry Gwala Stadium ended in 1-all draw. Keletso Sifama gave Chiefs the lead in the 35th minute before Stellenbosch equalised in the 52nd minute through a set play scored by Jamie Craak.

‘Mshini’ played for the first time since he incurred an Achilles injury back on the 15th of March. The youngster got injured shortly after making his senior team debut in the 1-0 win over Maritzburg United before starting the one-all draw against SuperSport United.

On Saturday, ‘Mshini’ played a solid thirty minutes of the game before he was replaced by Rahim Milazi.  Coach Arthur Zwane completed his substitutions with Kamohelo Hoala making way for Yaseen Bunting and Taai D’Angelo made way for Samkelo Zwane.

The draw that marks Ngcobo’s return takes Chiefs Reserves to 7th spot on the log with 12 games played in the MDC League.
