Siphiwe ‘Shabba’ Tshabalala will return to training on Wednesday. The midfielder was sidelined due to a strained muscle a week ago during the league match against SuperSport United at Mbombela Stadium.

“The injury required some rest to heal properly,” reports Kaizer Chiefs physiotherapist David Milner. “He has recovered now and will resume full training on Wednesday.”

Milner further reported, “Sibusiso Khumalo is nursing a knee ligament. He will be out of action for the next ten days.”

Khumalo limped off the pitch as he was substituted a fortnight ago in the Nedbank Cup quarterfinal match played at FNB Stadium against his former club Supersport United.

Meanwhile, Kgotso Moleko is doing well and has returned to training after nursing a hamstring injury that kept him out of the side during the last three weeks.

The technical team will monitor Tshabalala’s progress before making a decision to include him in the squad that will travel to Polokwane this Saturday.

Chiefs travel to Polokwane to face Polokwane City on Saturday, 13 May. The game will be played at Peter Mokaba Stadium at 18:00.
