We’ve regrouped- Komphela

“We have regrouped and we have no other choice but to win,” Komphela vowed after polishing the team’s tactical approach for tonight’s match against Platinum Stars. “We have to make up for the disappointing result on Wednesday.”

Royal Bafokeng Stadium is the battleground for the clash between Kaizer Chiefs and Platinum Stats. Kick-off is at 18:00.

“We come from contrasting midweek results,” Komphela added. “Looking at Stars and their current form – they have started to collect points under Roger de Sa. We simply have to up our game to beat them and that’s what we’ve worked on.”

Amakhosi were edged by Chippa in midweek, while Platinum Stars beat Polokwane City 1-0.

“It’s going to be an intense game,” the Chiefs coach admitted. “However, we will approach it with a positive mindset. We worked a lot on the finishing part of our game in the pre-match training session.”

Good news is that Bernard Parker has shrugged off the eye injury he sustained during Wednesday’s match. “Parker is available for selection,” Komphela confirmed. No new injuries have been reported by the medical team.

“We are up for it,” the Chiefs mentor concluded, while looking as well to the last match before the Christmas break against Ajax Cape Town at home in Durban. “We dropped three points on Wednesday. But we will give it our all to make amends against Stars and Ajax.”
