It was another productive weekend for the Kaizer Chiefs development structures representing the Club in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) and DStv Diski Challenge.

Amakhosi reserves travelled to KwaZulu-Natal to face AmaZulu and came away with an emphatic 5-1 victory to lay down a marker to the rest in their division. They now have four points from their opening two matches, following a 1-1 draw against Orlando Pirates in their first outing. They meet SuperSport United at Dobsonville stadium in their next fixture on Sunday, 24 September.

Meanwhile, in the GDL. The league-leading Amakhosi Under 13s maintained their unbeaten record since the start of the season, scoring a 2-0 win against Prestige Football Development Academy on Saturday, and following it up with a resounding 5-0 victory over Siluma 7 a day later.

The Under 15s were equally impressive, winning 4-1 against Prestige, and 2-1 against Siluma 7 to remain top of their standings.

The Under 17 team beat their opponents from Prestige, 5-2 on Saturday, before scoring another three goals without reply against Siluma 7 on Sunday.

Finally, the Under 19s drew both of their matches by the same scoreline, 2-2, against Prestige and Siluma 7 respectively.

Next up, Chiefs await the visit of Mamelodi Sundowns to the Kaizer Chiefs Village for a series of GDL matches on Sunday, 24 September, beginning at 9:00am with the Under 13s, followed by the Under 15s at 10:30am, the Under 17s at midday, and ending with the Under 19 clash at 14:00pm.
