Kaizer Chiefs’ Under-19s flew past Panorama FC, delivering a brilliant performance netting an amazing nine goals. Sibusiso Milazi and Reamahetswa Lekoatsa both scored a hat-trick. “I am proud of the boys, especially as we fielded an Under-18s side,” Amakhosi’s Under-19s coach Sundra Govinder raves about the 9-0 victory.

Milazi has been in scintillating form in recent weeks, scoring eight goals in four SAB Johannesburg Regional League matches. Others who scored against Panorama FC on Monday were Lebohang Lesako, Khumbulani Ncube and Kamohelo Hoala.

Three days earlier, the Under-19s side had played to a 2-2 draw against the University of Johannesburg. “We were 2-0 up at half-time,” reflects Govinder. “However, one of our players was sent off and, on top of that, we made some defensive mistakes. As a result, we conceded the two goals.”

Lekoatsa and Sizwe Twala scored the goals for the young Glamour Boys.

But, as mentioned, Chiefs Under-19s recovered brilliantly from the set-back against the 2-2 draw to take Panorama FC head on. “We played with high intensity, keeping possession football and if we lost the ball, we immediately pressed them high up the pitch to win the ball back as quickly as possible,” the coach adds.

Milazi, Lekoatsa and captain Kefiloe Mojaki, who plays in defence, displayed some outstanding performances.

Stars of Africa are on top of the SAB log with 27 points from 12 matches, Chiefs are one point behind, although they have one game in hand.

The league will have a little break before resuming on 12 January 2019, when the youth side will face Pimville Young Stars in a SAB Johannesburg Regional League fixture at the sports grounds of the University of Johannesburg in Pimville.
