Marketing Director Jessica Motaung, joined by Mayor Zandile Gumede and other key figures, graced the Kaizer Chiefs Insurance (KCI) store launch at Umlazi’s Mega City on Friday afternoon.
“The day went according to plan and I am grateful to have been part of the excitement on the ground,” Motaung reflected between her engagements on the hype of activities at the activation.
“I am glad that We are Back in KZN, the people here are amazing and filled with love,” continued Motaung. “It’s great that we are opening our store at Mega City Mall. This is part of an expansion programme of our properties around the country. The activation went well too. However, most important for us is to have an impact on the communities here.”
Amakhosi flags were hoisted high and the supporters were treated to various festivities, including a music show by renowned artists that was headlined by songstress Babes Wodumo. Actor MasterMind of Uzalo was also in the house.
“Chiefs are synonymous with community work,” Motaung pointed out, while she was inundated by cheering Amakhosi supporters with some asking to shoot selfies with her.
“The sanitary products drive for the girls is one of our focus areas and we are glad to receive such a response,” said Motaung. “The Mayor has been active from the moment we started planning for these activities. The Mayor was present in our Kaizer Chiefs Insurance store to witness the launch and that was very gratifying.
“We want to leave a legacy wherever we go. And, through these stores (in Port Elizabeth, Rustenburg, Alexandra, Johannesburg CBD and Soweto) we will be offering an array of other accessories which is an addition to the usual KC experience.”
