“It is always a pleasure to play in Durban. The vibe is already palpable in the air,” Kaizer Chiefs Marketing Director Jessica Motaung enthuses. “The atmosphere is filled with anticipation. We are here to delight our Amakhosi supporters.”

The Glamour Boys are in Durban to host Highlands Park at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 18 February (kick-off at 18:00). The tickets are R60 and available at Computicket and Shoprite/Checkers.

“We are here to win the match and keep up the winning momentum,” vows Motaung. “Not only that, we want to make our supporters happy and strengthen the relation with our stakeholders.”

Amakhosi, in partnership with main sponsor Vodacom, will embark on a Roadshow in Umlazi’s Mega City on Friday, 17 February, from 12:00 to 17:00.

“We are bringing fun and games to Umlazi,” says Motaung. “The supporters will be treated to a Gig Rig, while there will also be the opportunity to get KC Mobile Starter Packs. Also present will be our KC Insurance and KC Retail.”

There will be lots of prizes to win, and not only that, “we have brought Mzansi’s number one central defender, Erick ‘Tower’ Mathoho, for the Roadshow, accompanied by Camaldine Abraw, Ryan Moon and Keagan Buchanan. They will interact and sign autographs and take pictures with the supporters.”

“We are about Love & Peace,” continues Motaung, “and this being the ‘month of love’ and the last of our three league matches that we scheduled for Durban, we want to do it all in style.”

On Saturday, 18 February, we have an KC Activation in KwaMashu’s Bridge City shopping centre from 10:00 to 14:00. The Gig Rig, KC Mobile, KC Insurance, KC Retail and a variety of competitions (with prizes to win) will all be there. However, the players will not be present, because it’s on match day and they will be preparing themselves for the big game.

“It will be amiss not to respond to the needs of the people,” Motaung highlights something else. “We will do community work at identified areas during our stay in KwaZulu-Natal. Corporate Social Responsibility is part of our DNA. We will hold hands with the Vodacom Foundation to do good in identified communities.”

Also, don’t forget one winner and three friends stand a chance to a VIP treatment (special seat, dinner in the suite, meeting players) at Saturday’s game – please, SMS ‘KC Couch’ to 33044, SMS costs R1.50.

“Join us Amakhosi,” concludes Motaung. “Let us have a wonderful Gold & Black weekend in Durban.”
