“We must celebrate love every day,” says Gustavo Páez. “I have a busy day on Wednesday, having training and other work related obligations. The day is imperative though, so I will definitely make a plan to enjoy some quality time with my wife Arianna.”

Love is preserved in the culture and value systems of Kaizer Chiefs.

“We are privileged because we live everyday with the spirit of Love & Peace,” the Amakhosi striker adds. “It’s definitely a special day for me and my wife. Last year, she arrived to join me in South Africa on the day before Valentine’s Day.”

Páez doesn’t have a particular way of celebrating his Valentine’s Day. “Last year we went out for dinner to eat sushi,” a blushing Venezuelan looks back. “This year will be different though, because we have a child (Marcelo) as part of the family, so we won’t go out till late.”

“I wish to inspire everyone to go all out and share love. I will certainly take my wife out to dinner,” reveals Páez. “However, to give Love & Peace is something one should do every day if you really care about somebody.”

George Maluleka, meanwhile, will pull out all stops to celebrate the day with his wife Larelle. “This is a special day to express and share love,” the midfielder comments. “It is about togetherness. It is as special and perfect platform to present some gifts to your loved one.”

Will the celebration be different now that Maluleka has recently married Larelle? “No way, nothing has changed since,” he makes clear. “If anything has changed, it will be improved merriment. I bought gifts and can’t wait to share them with my wife. From Chiefs’ point of view, by association, Love is our way of life. I can’t wait to go home after training to present the gifts to her.”

Maluleka final words on Valentine’s Day are, “I wish that people all over the world will make time on this day to be there with their loved one. I want everyone to express and share love on this exquisite day.”
