Kaizer Chiefs U15s won the 2026 SAFA Inter-provincial TDS tournament when the defeated Siwelele U15s 2-0 in the final at Trezona Park in Florida on Sunday afternoon.

Chiefs earned their place in the final with a solid start in the group phase, securing their progress with a game to spare after beating Mpumalanga 4-1, and KwaZulu-Natal 1-0 in their opening two fixtures on Saturday. A 0-0 draw with Gauteng later in the day ensured they finished undefeated.

Sunday morning saw Amakhosi eliminate Free State in the quarterfinals, followed by a hard-fought 3-2 semifinal win over Mamelodi Sundowns and a meeting against Siwelele for the title and trophy.

In the aftermath of their consummate victory in the final, it was only fitting that Chiefs featured prominently among the TDS tournament awards, with David Mathebula taking the Coach of the Tournament accolade, while Phalo Lucas was chosen as Player of the Tournament. Keo Tiro was the tournament’s top scorer and Mlungisi Sitoe was deemed the best goalkeeper at the event.

The victory once again highlights the excellent work being done in Chiefs’ youth development academy structures and demonstrates the sound foundation upon which the Club is built.
