Chiefs to face Zimamoto in Confederation Cup

Kaizer Chiefs have drawn Zanzibar’s Zimamoto in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.

Zimamoto play in the Zanzibar Premier League, which they last won in 2016. As a result, they competed for the first time in the CAF Champions League in 2017.

The first leg between Chiefs and Zimamoto will be played in South Africa, on either Tuesday, 27 November or Wednesday, 28 November.

The second leg will take place in Zanzibar on either Tuesday, 4 December or Wednesday, 5 December.

If Chiefs go past Zimamoto over two legs, the next opponent will be the winner of the preliminary qualification matches between Deportivo Unidad (Equatorial Guinea) and ASSM Elgeco Plus (Madagascar).
