Kaizer Chiefs are in Nelspruit this afternoon for their third DStv Premiership match of the season, against TS Galaxy. This comes after participating in the MTN8 quarterfinals in Cape Town on the weekend.

Chiefs are searching for their first league win after drawing and losing their first two games of the season respectively. The Glamour Boys will however draw confidence from last weekend’s win over Cape Town City in the MTN8 quarterfinals.

Galaxy are on a high after collecting four points from their two league games and will want to avoid a loss.

The two teams drew both matches when they met last season in the league and will now want to pick up points this afternoon when they meet in front of a huge crowd expected at the Mbombela Stadium.

Coach Molefi Ntseki has been forced to make one change to the squad that started the last game against Cape Town City. Ranga Chivaviro comes on for Ashley Du Preez, who scored two goals for Amakhosi in the last two matches. The striker misses the game due to flu infection.

The formation remains 4-2-3-1 for this afternoon’s DStv Premiership clash.

Brandon Petersen is the goalkeeper.

At the back, Chiefs will be happy to have Thatayaone Ditlhokwe back after not being able to finish the last match. He will be with the reliable S’fiso Hlanti on the left, with Reeve Frosler on the right. Given Msimango will partner with Ditlhokwe in central defence.

Last weekend’s man of the match in the MTN8 match, Yusuf Maart, and the winning goal scorer of that game, Edson Castillo, are in midfield.

On the wings, Amakhosi have Pule Mmodi on the left and Tebogo Potsane on the right wing, while Mduduzi Mdantsane will play behind the striker.

Chivaviro will lead Amakhosi’s attack this afternoon.

Petersen wears the captain’s armband.

Michael Mosemeng is the match referee, with Simukele Jali and Xolani Hlatshwayo as assistants. Thabo Mkhabela is the match’s fourth official.

Amakhosi and the Rockets lock horns at Mbombela Stadium at 15:00. The DStv Premiership match will be live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and various SABC radio stations - with regular updates of the match on Twitter @KaizerChiefs.
