Kaizer Chiefs Reserves turned the corner in a big way with a 7-1 drubbing of Bloemfontein Celtic Reserves in the Multichoice Diski Challenge festival on Sunday.

The young Amakhosi fired on all cylinders when they whipped defending MDC Champions in an entertaining match played at KwaMashu’s Princess Magogo Stadium.

After a winless streak of three matches, it was a matter of time before Chiefs Reserves could turn the corner and get back to winning ways.

It was raining goals and the young Siwelele had no answers as they were made to collect the ball seven times from the back of the net. Keletso Sifama started by firing in the 14th and 26th minutes to make it 2-0 at half time. The avalanche became a reality when Yaseen Bunting followed with his brace in the 49th and 53th minutes of the game to make it 4-0. Still with no reply from Celtic, Tshepo Mohlala added his name to the scoresheet in the 58th minute. Kefiloe Milazi wrapped things up when he came on to replace Yaseen Bunting - he scored his team’s third brace of the afternoon in the 78th and 81st minutes.

After seeing three braces, Celtic’s Reserves held on until they scored a consolation goal in the dying minutes of the match. The final score was an impressive 7-1 to Kaizer Chiefs.
