Defending champions, Amakhosi reserves, got their 2025/26 DStv Diski Challenge (DDC) campaign off to a winning start after seeing off Orbit College 2-1 at the Mpumalanga stadium on Sunday.
Pheko Phago gave Chiefs the lead, and Neo Bohloko secured the three points from the penalty spot after Orbit had equalised earlier on.
Amakhosi travel to the Western Cape for their second round of the national U23 league to face Stellenbosch FC at the Idas Valley Sports Centre on Sunday, 14 September, kicking off at 10:00 am.
Meanwhile, the Club’s youth development academy teams routed Elspark in the latest round of the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) at the Village on Saturday.
The U14s set the tone with a resounding 9-1 triumph. This was followed by a 5-0 win for Amakhosi's U15s and a 3-0 victory by the U17s. The only respite for the visitors came when the U19 clash was cancelled due to unfavourable weather conditions.
The young Glamour Boys are in GDL action again next Sunday, 14 September, when they host Highlands Park at the Village, kicking off at 9:00 am. The games will be broadcast live on television.
