Chiefs welcome AmaZulu

Kaizer Chiefs will be looking at consolidating their league position when they welcome cin an Absa Premiership league encounter on Saturday, 7 March.

Following their victory against their arch-rival Orlando Pirates, Amakhosi are upbeat ahead of the much-anticipated arrival of KwaZulu Natal based outfit at FNB Stadium.

AmaZulu are not in a good space currently. They lost their match against Chippa United on Saturday and are flirting with the relegation zone.

In the corresponding fixture that took place in September 2019 in Durban, it took Leonardo Castro’s 83rd minute to break the deadlock before Khama Billiat at the death sealed the three points for Amakhosi.

It is nine games to go to the finish line and Chiefs have 48 points in the bag. As for AmaZulu, it is seven games to go and they have 20 points.

Sparks are expected to fly as both teams will be battling it out for contrasting reasons, Chiefs chasing the league title and AmaZulu fighting to stay in the premiership.

Gates open at 17:15 and kick-off is at 20:15.
