Elspark up next for Chiefs youngsters

Kaizer Chiefs youth teams will be travelling Eastwards to Elspark to Germiston this weekend for a meeting with the Elspark United Academy teams. Two of the Chiefs junior teams the U-17 and U-19 teams who were not in action last weekend will be back on the field on the East Rand on Saturday morning.

Kaizer Chiefs U-13

Chiefs’ U-13 team gave a spirited performance last Saturday as they went down to Wits Juniors. They will be looking to give the same kind of performance when they take on their counterparts from Elspark United Academy. Coached by former Chiefs defender Jimmy Jambo, the young Amakhosi will be aiming to claim a win against a team currently six places below the Chiefs U-13 team who are in sixth place on the log.

Kaizer Chiefs U-15

Winners in their last game, Tshidiso Letsholonyane’s Chiefs U-15 team will be hoping to continue from where they left off against Wits Juniors a week ago, when they travel to Germiston. The U-15 team were winners against Wits Juniors thanks to a late goal from Bafana Zitha who has netted in his last two games. They will be hoping to win again as they look to keep pace with log leaders Orlando Pirates.

Kaizer Chiefs U-17

Currently in third place on the log, twelve points behind leaders Jomo Cosmos but with four games in hand, the Chiefs U-17 team will be looking to close the gap with a win against 10th placed Elspark Academy United. They have won their last three games and will be targeting a fourth successive win.

Kaizer Chiefs U-19

After a week of inaction, the Kaizer Chiefs U-19 team will be looking to get back on track this coming weekend against Elspark Academy United. The team which has undergone some transformation in recent weeks is still in line to catch log leaders Bidvest Wits. The Chiefs U-19 currently trail Bidvest Wits by eight points but have played three games less than them, their opponents this weekend are currently in 13th place on the log standings.
