Four new starts for Chiefs against Celtic

Goalkeeper Daniel Akpeyi, midfielders Kearyn Baccus and Happy Mashiane as well as striker Samir Nurković will start for Chiefs this afternoon after sitting on the bench in the last two games as coach Gavin Hunt tries a different approach against Bloemfontein Celtic this afternoon in the Free State capital.

Coach Gavin Hunt will stick to a 4-4-2 formation against Siwelele as he tries to pick up three points away from home.

In Amakhosi’s goal Hunt will start with Akpeyi will start as he replaces Itumeleng Khune who is slightly injured.

The defence remains unchanged from the last game with Philani Zulu on the left, Daniel Cardoso and Mulomowandau Mathoho at the centre of the defence, while Siyabonga Ngezana is on the right hand side.

In midfield Chiefs will have Njabulo Blom with Bernard Parker. Happy Mashiane will replace Nkosingiphile Ngcobo on the left of the midfield and Baccus will come in for Dumsani Zuma on the right.

The attack will be led by Nurković who comes in for Leonardo Castro. He will be supported by Lebogang Manyama.

Bernard Parker will still be wearing the skipper’s armband.

The referee for this afternoon is Luyolo Mjezu. His first assistant will be Lubabalo Pitsha and Tumi Mohlala will be the second assistant referee. Mervyn van Wyk is the fourth official.

Kick-off for this exciting DStv Premiership encounter between Phunya Sele Sele and The Phefeni Glamour Boys is at 15:00 at Petrus Molemela Stadium in Mangaung.   No spectators will be allowed in the stadium.
