“I feel at home,” enthuses Kaizer Chiefs supporter Ziphozethu Nxonongo, who came travelling from Strand, Cape Town, to the Village. The journey took 14 hours, but she was happy to have joined the group. “The Village is my home. I am Amakhosi 4 Life.”

Ziphozethu was joined by several other fans from the Cape, including Shasha Daboyi, who lives in Hermanus.

“We will win 2-1 on Saturday,” Shasha says. “No, we will win 2-0,” Ziphozethu jumps in. Yonela Skelem has a different view: “We will win 3-1. However, please, we will give Orlando Pirates a goal.”

Yonela also comes from Strand. Her favourite Glamour Boys are Gustavo Páez, George Lebese and Ryan Moon. Shasha also loves the Venezuelan striker: “He’s amazing!”

Tebogo Kopakae and Gemorrah Joloza are from Strand too. Tebogo’s hero is Ramahlwe Mphahlele.

“This is really nice,” Shasha tells about the supporters activation at the Village. “We meet fellow supporters from other provinces and it’s convenient as well, because we can now buy as well all the new merchandise.”

The activation will finish today at 18:00 and tomorrow, Saturday, ahead of the Soweto Derby it will be from 08:00 until 11:30.
