All four of Kaizer Chiefs’ youth academy teams enjoyed emphatic victories over their Randburg FC counterparts when the clubs met in the SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) at the Village on Saturday.

In the morning session, Chiefs U14s prevailed by 4-0, followed by a 3-0 triumph for the U15s. The trend continued in a similar vein after lunch, with the U17s downing their opponents 4-0, before the U19s crowned a commanding day for young Amakhosi with an impressive 6-2 victory.

On Sunday, Amakhosi reserves got the better of Magesi U23s in their thrilling DStv Diski Challenge encounter on Sunday that ended 3-2 to Chiefs. The result keeps them in fifth place on the log, with 36 points after 23 rounds of fixtures, with a mouth watering Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates reserves to look forward to next Sunday, 29 March.
