Kaizer Chiefs’ new player Lazalous Kambole was recognised for his great contribution while at Zesco United during Football Association of Zambia League Awards Ceremony held on the weekend in Lusaka, Zambia.

The attacking midfielder walked away with two coveted awards, namely:  Fans’ Footballer of the Year Award and Most Disciplined Player of the Year.

“It feels great and humbling to be recognised,” says Kambole. “My focus now is doing duty for Kaizer Chiefs and achieving a lot more.”

Shortly after joining Amakhosi in July, Kambole scooped three awards at his former club’s end of season awards ceremony for his efforts last season with the Zambia’s powerhouse Zesco.

“I will take these awards as a motivation leading to the next game against SuperSport United and the rest of the season,” he added.

This Saturday, 24 August, Kaizer Chiefs will host SuperSport United at FNB Stadium. Kick-off is at 18:00. Tickets are sold for R40 at Computicket, Shoprite and Checkers outlets nationwide.
