On a day that began well but tapered off slightly later on, Amakhosi’s junior teams experienced mixed fortunes when they entertained Remember Elite Sports Academy (RESA) at the Village on Saturday for a round of SAFA Gauteng Development League (GDL) fixtures.

The U14s continued their dominant form with a 2-0 victory to open the programme, and the U15s followed suit, winning 3-1.

In the afternoon, however, RESA bounced back somewhat by coming out on top in a close U17 clash by the only goal, and then holding Amakhosi to a 1-1 draw in the U19 encounter to close out the day.

This coming weekend, Chiefs head to Pretoria to face TUKS on Saturday, 16 August, at the TUKS Sports Grounds, commencing at 9:00am.
