Moon starts against Zimamoto

Ryan Moon will get a start in this afternoon’s second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup preliminary round against Zanzibar’s Zimamoto.

Coach Giovanni Solinas has otherwise decided to rest most of the players that were involved in Saturday’s Absa Premiership fixture against Golden Arrows.

Virgil Vries will be in goal, while Daniel Cardoso replaces the injured Ramahlwe Mphahlele at right-back and Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya comes in for Godfrey Walusimbi. The centre-backs will be Erick Mathoho and Teenage Hadebe, who also both started against Arrows.

Siphelele Ntshangase, Hendrick Ekstein, Bernard Parker and Lebogang Manyama are others who are in the starting XI.

Willard Katsande will captain the side in the absence of Itumeleng Khune.

Chiefs take a 4-0 win from the first leg into this Tuesday afternoon’s match against Zimamoto.

The clash between Amakhosi and Zimamoto will take place at Amaan Stadium in Zanzibar City. Kick-off is at 15:00, South African time.

The referee will be Dawit Asamenew.
