Njabulo Ngcobo Starts Against Sekhukhune in Durban

Kaizer Chiefs are back in DStv Premiership action this evening after taking being involved in the MTN8 competition last weekend against Sundowns. The Phefeni Glamour Boys will face Sekhukhune United at Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban this evening.

Chiefs will want to do well in this match after losing both home and away matches against Babina Noko last season in the league.

It has been a rather busy time for Amakhosi, who play their fourth match in 11 days. Their opponents, on the other hand, have had time to rest over the weekend as they were not involved in the Top 8 cup competition.

Coach Molefi Ntseki has had to manage his squad through the process by making changes during each game. For this evening, the Amakhosi mentor has opted to introduce Njabulo Ngcobo who comes in for Given Msimango, who has played in the last 10 matches that the team has played in league and cup competition this season. The second change sees S’fiso Hlanti, who was injured during the previous game, replaced by Edmilson Dove. The final change is in the front line, with Christian Saile replacing Tebogo Potsane

Interestingly, Kaizer Chiefs’ new recruit Sibongiseni Mthethwa will be on the bench after signing with the team last Thursday.

Chiefs will keep to a 4-3-3 formation for this game.

Petersen remains between the posts.

After making coming on in the second half on Saturday, Dove starts at left-back. Thatayaone Ditlhokwe will have a new partner at centre-back in Njabulo Ngcobo. The right hand side of defence is unchanged as Reeve Frosler returns for the second game in a row.

The midfield is unchanged with Edson Castillo working with Yusuf Maart and Letlhogonolo George Matlou.

In attack Chiefs will have Saile on the right and Pule Mmodi on the left hand side.

Ashley Du Preez leads the line.

Petersen is the captain.

Doing the officiating are referee Michael Mosemeng, who is assisted by Jantjie Dlamini and Simukele Jali. The fourth official is Thokozani Mkhize.

The tough DStv Premiership clash between Amakhosi and Babina Noko starts at 19:30 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. The match is live on SuperSport’s PSL Channel 202 on DStv and SABC radio stations - with regular updates of the match on Twitter @KaizerChiefs.
