Ntiya-Ntiya, Agay start for Chiefs vs AmaZulu

After sitting on the bench for the last two games, Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya returns to the starting line-up this evening for the Absa Premiership game against AmaZulu. Another ‘new’ player in the line-up is Akumu Agay, who came on as a substitute in last weekend’s Soweto Derby against Orlando Pirates following Willard Katsande’s injury in the 75th minute of that game.

Coach Ernst Middendorp has kept faith in the rest of the team that did duty last weekend with the exception of Kgotso Moleko and the injured Katsande.

Last weekend’s man of the match, Daniel Akpeyi will once again be between the sticks for Amakhosi.

After playing on the left against Pirates, the versatile Reeve Frosler returns to the right of Chiefs’ defence. The trusted duo of Mulomowandau Mathoho and Daniel Cardoso will once again do duty in central defence, with Ntiya-Ntiya taking his position on the left.

Agay will be in midfield with George Maluleka and Kearyn Baccus.

The attacking trio remains last week’s goal scorer, Lebogang Manyama with Samir Nurković and Castro as strikers.

This evening’s referee is Masixole Bambiso. His assistants are Mervyn van Wyk and Tshepo Njila.  Happy Nhlanhla will be the fourth official.

The Absa Premiership encounter between Kaizer Chiefs and AmaZulu kicks off at 20:15 at FNB Stadium.
