The Kaizer Chiefs youth academy has produced three notable youngsters who are about to dazzle the world on national stage following their selection to the national under-23 squad to play Zambia in a friendly match in October.

Two of the youngsters, midfield sensation Thabiso Malatsi and striker Sibusiso Sithole, have been promoted to the first team with Sithole featuring regularly while Malatsi is slowly being introduced to the first team.

The third Amakhosi youngster Lennox Mize is still under the watchful eye of academy coach Farouk Khan and his team at Milo Park.

Jabu Pule, Patrick Mbuthu and Siyabonga Nomvete are some of the Amakhosi players to have represented South Africa at under-23 level.

Squad:

Goalkeepers: Jacob Mokhatsi (Wits FC), Jayson Lee Barnard (Hellenic), Vincent Lekhula (Welkom Stars).

Defenders: Tshepiso Molaba , Ashraf Hendricks (both Hellenic), Peter Petersen (Moroka Swallows), Thomrick October (Santos), Lennox Mize (Kaizer Chiefs), Nafies Morris (Ari’s FC).

Midfielders: Lawrance Masegela, Dan Moloi (both Wits FC), Thobela Bikwane (Twente), Jonathan Greenfield (Vasco da Gama), Giovanni Rector (Fortune FC), Albert Kometsi (Hellenic), Thabiso Malatsi (Kaizer Chiefs), Joseph Makhanya (Orlando Pirates).

Strikers: France Mokonyane (Jomo Cosmos), Edward Malinga (Maritzburg City), Gareth Devine (Wits FC), Darrel Smith (Hellenic), Sibusiso Sithole (Kaizer Chiefs).
