Coach Ernst Middendorp was his usual cool self when he and his troops landed at the King Shaka International Airport on Friday afternoon for Amakhosi’s away clash against Lamontvile Golden Arrows

“It is a tricky affair because you can’t even read much from their previous match,” says Middendorp about the opposition. As always, we anticipate them to throw everything at us. They surely will be looking for a home win and causing an upset by beating us.”

The Glamour Boys illustrated a team on a mission when they walked through the airport arrivals terminals. The spirit in the team signaled much intent and purpose ahead of a battle royal that’s anticipated against Abafana Bes’thende.

“I watched them last week in their drawn match against Polokwane City in Polokwane,” he added. “I have all the intelligence to make certain decisions. We are here and definitely looking to apply what we practiced the whole week.”

Full-back Reeve Frosler returns from injury. George Maluleka is also back after serving his one match suspension. “Well, you know those guys are important in our setup. Their availability gives us some options - I’m glad they are back and available for selection, the coach confirmed.

Waiting to make a return from instituted medical treatment programme is Khama Billiat. Bruce Bvuma is also working on his fitness after an injury spell, while Akumu Agay is waiting for his paperwork and preparing to be integrated into the fold.

“We are facing another tough encounter,” admitted Middendorp. This time of theseason is unpredictable. Everyone is looking to collect points and this match won’t be an exception. But we are prepared and ready to do the battle.”

Kick-off is 15:30 at Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban.
