Zuma and Tower extend contracts

Kaizer Chiefs announced on Thursday, 12 September 2019 the contract extension of star midfielder Dumsani Zuma and tough as teak defender, Mulomowandau Erick Mathoho.

The 29-year-old Tower made his Kaizer Chiefs debut in an MTN 8 quarter-final clash on the 5th August 2012 against Mamelodi Sundowns. The South African international has played in a total of 189 games in all competitions for Kaizer Chiefs.

Tower has so far collected four trophies with Chiefs. He won the Absa Premiership and Nedbank Cup double in 2012/13. And in 2014/15, he added another league title plus the MTN 8 Cup.

The 24-year-old Zuma joined Chiefs in 2017 and made his debut in a league game against Baroka on the 30th September 2017. He has played in 39 league games for Chiefs since joining from Celtic. He has so far scored 8 goals and in all competitions. The nimble footed affectionately known by his clan name, Msholozi has played a total of 54 matches for Amakhosi.

The duo who ironically joined Chiefs from Bloemfontein Celtic had their contracts extended from July 2020 to June 2023.

It was all smiles as both players completed their signing. If their happiness is anything to go by, the supporters should look in anticipation for a great game against Polokwane City at FNB Stadium on Saturday, 14 September.
