Kaizer Chiefs Reserves continued with their scintillating form when they beat Bloemfontein Celtic Reserves 2-0 in the semifinal of the MultiChoice Diski Shield played at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium on Saturday.

It was another resounding and dominating display by Chiefs with talisman Yusuf Bunting already opening the score after 59 seconds. It was Bunting’s third goal in four outings in the MultiChoice Diski Shield.

Itumeleng Shopane ran riot against Celtic and his darting runs on the right flank were rewarded when he scored in the first minute of the second half to seal the victory for Chiefs.

The win means a pleasing record of four wins out of four games for the Glamour Boys in the Shield competition.

Shopane deservedly bagged the Man of the Match award as Chiefs Reserves marched on to face their counterparts of Mamelodi Sundowns in the final, which is scheduled to take place at Tembisa’s Makhulong Stadium on Saturday, 5 May.

Further logistics will be announced during the course of the week.
