Eight Kaizer Chiefs Youth Stars Help Amajita Win COSAFA

Eight rising talents from Kaizer Chiefs Youth Development Academy played a crucial role in helping the South African U-20 national team (Amajita) win the COSAFA Region V Youth Games Championship with a 3-0 victory over Malawi in the final held at UNAM Stadium, Windhoek, Namibia, on Sunday.

 Khayalethu Mzimela, one of the standout young players from Kaizer Chiefs, opened the scoring in the final before Amajita sealed the win with two more unanswered goals. Other Kaizer Chiefs youth players who contributed to this victorious campaign include: Bokamoso Mokokosi,  Royce Malatji, Ziyanda Mchunu, Tebogo Mangeni, Lebohang Dlamini, Neo Bohloko and Steven MendesThese players were instrumental throughout the tournament, with Mendes (2 goals), Bohloko, and Mokokosi all getting on the scoresheet.

 Their performances highlighted the strength and depth of the Kaizer Chiefs youth structure and their ability to shine on the international football stage.This COSAFA title adds to an already impressive record for the South African U-20 side, who previously won the COSAFA U-20 Championship in Mozambique and followed that by becoming CAF U-20 AFCON champions in Egypt.
