Kaizer Chiefs were drawn to play away to Stellenbosch FC in the last 16 of the 2025 Carling Black Label Knockout Cup on Monday.
Amakhosi have already won away to Stellenbosch, beating them 2-0 in their opening fixture of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership last month.
Goalkeeper, Brandon Petersen feels confident that Chiefs can repeat the feat and progress to the quarterfinals.
“It’s an exciting draw,” he tells www.kaizerchiefs.com, “We have played them this season and had a good result, so we are looking forward to going back to Cape Town. We know it’s going to be difficult, but we want to go all the way in this competition. The guys will be up for it and eager to give our fans something to celebrate.”
The dates, venues and kick-off times will be announced by the Premier Soccer League (PSL) in due course.
The prize money for the winners of the Carling Knockout will be R6.85 million this season, with the runners-up pocketing R2.85 million.
The semifinalists will receive R1.35 million, while the quarterfinalists will earn R850 000, and the teams eliminated in the last 16, R550 000 each.
