Baccus and Agay in charge of midfield for Polokwane vs Chiefs

Coach Ernst Middendorp has decided to make four changes to the starting XI for this afternoon’s Absa Premiership match against Polokwane City compared to the 1-1 draw against Bidvest Wits on Wednesday.

Reeve Frosler, who has returned from suspension, will come in for Kgotso Moleko at right-back. The defence will otherwise stay the same with Daniel Cardoso as captain in the absence of Willard Katsande, who will start the match from the bench.

The Zimbabwean midfielder’s place has been taken by Anthony Agay, who will be partnered in central midfield by Kearyn Baccus. The South African Aussie  replaces Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.

Leonardo Castro had to leave the pitch due to some muscle problems on Wednesday and he won’t take part in the encounter against Polokwane City.

Lazalous Kambole will replace the Colombian up-front. The Zambian striker will be partnered by Samir Nurković, who scored Kaizer Chiefs’ goal against Wits.

Amakhosi are on top of the league table with 49 points, three points ahead of Mamelodi Sundowns who played yesterday to a 1-1 draw to Highlands Park. Both sides have played 23 games.

Rise and Shine are down in 14th place with 23 points from 24 matches.

This afternoon’s referee is Thando Ndzandzeka. His assistants are Kamohelo Ramutsindela and Kenny Mamegwa. Tumi Mohlala will be the fourth official.

Polokwane City will host Kaizer Chiefs at Pretoria’s Loftus Versfeld this Saturday afternoon (kick-off is at 15:30). No spectators will be allowed in the stadium.
