Kaizer Chiefs have extended their best wishes to the Joburg Super Kings SA20 Cricket team as they prepare for the play-offs, in which three victories will secure them the SA20 Championship for the season.
JSK will face Paarl Royals in an eliminator at SuperSport Park in Centurion on Thursday, with the winner facing the loser of Wednesday’s encounter between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Pretoria Capitals on Friday at the Wanderers.
Amakhosi Marketing and Commercial Director, Jessica Motaung, was on hand to extend well wishes to JSK as they enter a crucial part of the tournament, saying, “We would like to say to our friends and partners at JSK, ‘all the best for the play-offs and, potentially, a final on Sunday’. We will be behind you. The team has shown great resilience and brought great entertainment to the fans this season. The best ending to season four is for them to go all the way.”
Motaung also thanked JSK for hosting Amakhosi at their games. “This past Saturday, we had fans, members of our men’s and women’s first teams at the stadium, as well as many of our junior players and their parents, and I would like to thank JSK for extending warm hospitality to all Chiefs staff members who attended their games throughout the season,” she says in appreciation.
JSK’s game against Paarl Royals will start at 17:30 on Thursday, 22 January in Centurion. Should they win, they will return home on Friday, 23 January, for Qualifier 2 at 17:30. The final will be on 25 January in Cape Town.
